"As a growing region we were keen to strengthen our customer base in Hull and the quality of offices at Humber Quays suited our needs perfectly and allowed us to re-establish our presence in the city.” Stephen Hanson, Commercial Director, Barclays Commercial Bank.
After an office absence of five years, global financial services provider Barclays Commercial returned to Hull to take advantage of the stunning office premises at Humber Quays, which offered an ideal location to re-establish its base in the city centre.
Recognising Hull as a growing region that is reaping the benefits from significant new investment as part of an ongoing regeneration strategy, Barclays Commercial relocated staff from its regional centres in Leeds and Sheffield. As well as the relationship team the office also includes specialist managers across the full range of commercial banking services including Sales and Asset Finance, International Trade and Treasury Services.
The move has already proved a successful one for the company thanks to a number of effective relationships within Hull’s business community and the quality of offices and impressive views across the Marina has made a huge impression on its expanding customer base.
Barclays Commercial joins a number of high-profile corporate occupiers who have taken up space at Humber Quays including The Royal Bank of Scotland, PricewaterhouseCoopers and World Trade Centre Hull & Humber and is now widely known as the city’s premier waterfront business district which continues to develop rapidly as a thriving hub for Hull’s business community.
